Baby Bird Policy

This policy must be read, understood and agreed upon before a deposit will be collected.

** A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to hold any baby bird until weaned. Some cockatoos and all macaws have a larger deposit.

** Your deposit is refundable should something happen to your baby bird or if I cancel the sale. If you do not pick your baby bird up in the time that we have agreed upon, you will forfeit your deposit/balance and you owe for the extra care your baby has received.

** Once the baby is weaned, all sales are final. You are responsible for the balance of your bird. I keep the babies a week after weaning to make sure they keep their weight and are officially ready for their new homes. Each additional week I keep the baby after that, you are responsible for paying $25 per week for any small/medium bird or $35 per week for a large bird.

** I will not sell a baby that is unweaned to an inexperienced handfeeder. There are no exceptions.  If I choose to sell an unweaned baby, it will be determined and discussed prior to the sale.
 I reserve the right to determine the bird's best interest.

** Please note that weaning dates are approximate. I do not force wean the babies, I let them wean when they are ready. Some will be ready sooner than expected and some later.
